Supply of data by licencee/operator (in general)
Data must be supplied to TNO and preferable in one of the following formats:
- TNO SFTP-server (Apply for an account at TNO)
- Email to rapportage-mijnbouwwet@tno.nl
- USB-stick
- CD/DVD
For contacts of the Geological Survey of the Netherlands - TNO see contacts. Essential post and deliver adresses can be found at the bottom of this page.
Supply of geophysical data by operator
Supply of borehole data by licencee/operator
Delivery of rock samples by licencee/operator
Drill cuttings: Preferably unwashed samples dried at a maximum temperature of 60 °Celsius. At least 250 grams per sample in intervals equal to the sample intervals as used by the company. Wet samples in properly labeled, linen-type sacks with small perforations that allow natural drying are also acceptable.
Production and injection data
Based on article 123 of the Mining Act mining companies either involved in production of oil, gas or salt or involved in injecting substances for storage must report their production figures to the Dutch government.
The information mentioned in article 111 Mining Decree (Mijnbouwbesluit, MBB) are, according to article 119 MBB, also applicable to the production of geothermal energy. It primarily concerns produced quantities of geothermal energy and natural resources and the injected substances and enabling substances as described in article 111, 112 and 119 of the MBB.
The data must be submitted to TNO (as described in Article 11.4.1 MBR) within four weeks after the reported month. (art 111.2 and 112.2 MBB)
Data submittance is in a predescribed format. For Geothermal data this format is described in 'Aardwarmte Productiecijfers' (In Dutch, version december 2016) and in the following pdf-document 'Aanlevering productiegegevens aardwarmte' (In Dutch, version 2016). This spreadsheet also contains an export function to convert the data to an xml format which can subsequently be emailed to TNO (rapportage-mijnbouwwet@tno.nl).
For oil, gas and salt the procedure is described in the Excel spreadsheet ‘Template Report Mijnbouwbesluit.xls’.
Oil, Gas and Salt
The following data has to be supplied for oil gas and salt production and storage
Production:
- per borehole: the quantities produced and types of minerals;
- per licence area: the quantities and types of minerals removed;
- per mining work: the quantities and types of minerals consumed;
- per mining work: the quantities and types of minerals destroyed;
- per borehole: the quantities of substances other than minerals produced;
- per borehole: the quantities of substances brought into the subsoil for the purpose of production.
Storage
- per reservoir: the quantities and types of substances stored;
- per reservoir: the quantities and types of substances retrieved and removed;
- per mining work: the quantities and types of substances retrieved and consumed,
- per mining work: the quantities and types of substances retrieved and destroyed.
Geothermal energy
Per well:
- The amount of water produced (m3)
- Average temperature of the produced water, weighed per volume, measured prior to the heat exchanger (°C)
- Average pump pressure of the pump in the production well (bar)
- Maximum pump pressure in the pump in the production well (bar)
- Amount of oil produced from the aquifer through the production well (Sm3)
- Amount of gas produced from the aquifer through the production well (Nm3)
- Amount of condensate produced from the aquifer through the production well (Sm3)
- Amount of inhibitor that remained in the production well (liter)
- Amount of injected water (m3)
- Average temperature of the injection water, weighed per volume, measured between the heat exchanger and the well head (°C)
- Average pump pressure of the pump in the injection well (bar)
- Maximum pump pressure in the injection well (bar)
- Amount of injected inhibitor in the injection well (liter)
Per facility:
- Heat withdrawn from the primary circuit (MJ)
- Number of operational hours of the primary circuit (hour)
- Used electricity for the primary circuit (Kwh)
Relinguishment of production and injection figures
Production and injection figures submitted according to articles 111, 112 en 119 MBB are relinguished following article 116.1MBB four weeks after the term for submitting the data.
Data is released on the NLOG portal. All the other data is treated according to article 10.1.c Wet Openbaarheid van Bestuur, as described in article 123.3 of the Mining Act.
